Past drafting and 3D design and technical experience in manufacturing
Manufacturing and casting design and fabrication experience
Experience with 3D modeling and CAD software

Description
Responsible for procurement of CAD drawings and 3D modeling of new and existing products, as assigned.  Ensures that assigned engineering and drawing project activities are completed within the timelines agreed upon with manager, and in accordance with established quality standards and procedures.  Completes drawings, designs, manufacturing specifications, and quality specifications per engineering assigned procedures and maintains job files and engineering documentation to maintain ISO procedures.  Coordinates closely with related departments to effect necessary changes and revisions to maintain accurate documentation of engineering and specifications.  Ensures that safety regulations are closely adhered to.  Completes related documentation as required, such as specifications, drawings and 3D models as assigned by manager.

Provides support for proper maintenance of engineering documentation and job files, and creates operation manuals for specific jobs as required. Creates engineering drawings and maintains documentation as required for laboratory approvals for new and existing products.

Required knowledge

  • Excellent understanding of Company operations
  • Strong understanding of drafting and design principles, procedures, and standards
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication
  • Knowledge of piping systems and components

Skills/Abilities

  • Well organized with strong planning and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Quality orientation
  • Able to organize multiple projects
  • Strong manufacturing background in drafting and design
  • Strong PC skills, including MS Office and engineering software
  • CAD design, 3D modeling (Solidworks, ProE ETC) AutoCAD

Working Environment

  • Often requires working with machinery, testing of equipment and/or devices
