Relevant Work Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in a regulatory environment
  • Interaction with EPA, TSCA, REACH (EU), DOT, and other regulatory authorities
  • Experience with federal, state, and local site permitting, sampling, and monitoring
  • MSDS and SDS authoring and translation

Description
The regulatory compliance specialist will be responsible for all regulatory compliance for the Fire Suppression and Specialty Chemical divisions.  Duties include new product registration; preparation and maintenance of product safety documentation; regulatory agency review, and approvals for new products; and site-wide federal, state, and local regulatory compliance.

Required Knowledge

  • General knowledge of chemicals and surfactants and their applications
  • Understanding of corporate workings and demands
  • Thorough knowledge of local, state, and federal industrial health, safety, and environmental regulations and compliance requirements
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of scientific and engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Knowledge of chemical plant operations and laboratory procedures
