Archived News - 2007Chemguard High-Expansion Foam Protects NGL Project in PeruMansfield, Texas, August 13, 2007 - Chemguard is supplying a high-expansion foam system for the Pluspetrol Camisea Gas Project for Las Malvinas Gas Operations in Malvinas, Cuzco, Peru. Configured to protect a 46,000 square foot natural gas liquids (NGL) [liquidos de gas natural (LGN)] impoundment pool, the $1 million (USD) Chemguard high-expansion foam system includes a dual-pump balanced-pressure skid system; 27 water-powered high-expansion foam generators, each capable of 18,000 cubic feet per minute; and our C2 high-expansion foam concentrate. The fire-protection project was handled by Pluspetrol contractors GYM/Abelin of Peru. The new high-expansion foam system is expected to be commissioned by Chemguard in early 2008. Chemguard's high-expansion foam systems are suitable for fire suppression of other fuels, including gasoline, kerosene, diesel, and liquefied natural gas (LNG).
