Current NewsChemguard Receives Large AR-AFFF Foam Concentrate Order From Qatar PetroleumMansfield, Texas, January 8, 2008 – Thanks to high scores in a 2006 LASTFIRE test, Chemguard is now filling a large order from Qatar Petroleum for alcohol-resistant aqueous film-forming foam (AR-AFFF). “Qatar Petroleum selected Chemguard to supply 127,000 gallons of 3%x3% AR-AFFF foam concentrate because of the overall high scores our product achieved under quite rigorous test conditions,” explained Sales and Marketing Vice President John Vieweger. “Oil companies adopted the LASTFIRE text to ensure that fire suppression foams and will provide the desired protection to their refineries and tank farms. We take that test seriously, and the test results showed it.” Chemguard will ship the first release of 500 drums by March 2008. The balance of the AR-AFFF foam concentrate shipment will be complete by December 2008.
