Chemguard Advances in Top 100 Ranking, Again Cited as Entrepreneurial Leader
September 17, 2010
It’s been a solid year for Chemguard, a world leader in developing and manufacturing fire-fighting foam concentrates and equipment, foam systems, and specialty chemicals. The company jumped 10 places to 58th on the Fort Worth Business Press Top 100 ranking of private companies in Tarrant County and – for the second year in a row – was named a winner of the Dallas 100 Entrepreneur Awards.
The annual Fort Worth Business Press Top 100 listing identifies the core companies in the region, based on total sales for the previous year. The Dallas 100 Entrepreneur Awards, presented by the Caruth Institute for Entrepreneurship at the Southern Methodist University Cox School of Business, recognizes the fastest growing private companies in the Dallas area.
“Our staff worldwide works hard to provide our customers with the products and service they need,” noted Chemguard President Roger Bower. “We combine our strong research base with more than 25 years of industry experience. All of us are honored that the Fort Worth Business Press and the SMU School of Business have recognized our success.”
In August, Chemguard acquired Williams Fire & Hazard Control – the undisputed leader in flammable-liquid fire fighting – as a wholly owned subsidiary, enhancing the strategic positioning of both companies in the global fire-fighting industry. The company also made a sizable investment in its manufacturing and operations facilities during the last year, in addition to hiring new professional and manufacturing staff.
Chemguard is a global, full-service, ISO 9001:2000 Certified manufacturer of fire suppression foams, equipment, and systems; specialty pumps; and fluorosurfactant specialty chemicals. Known for advanced R&D, engineering/design expertise, quality manufacturing, and high-quality, field-tested products, Chemguard provides unmatched customer support.
