Chemguard Aligned with EPA PFOA Guidelines / C8 Formulations Available to 2015
November 18, 2009
Chemguard is aligned with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 2010/2015 PFOA Stewardship Program goals and is dedicated to ultimately eliminating C8 and longer-chain chemistry from all products. With an ongoing research program for the development of C6-based formulations, Chemguard expects to phase out C8-based products well before the EPA’s 2015 target date. Chemguard believes in a responsible transition to all-C6 chemistry on the same timeline as the EPA. Our goal is to offer products that provide maximum performance using all raw materials available to the market today.
“In support of the EPA stewardship program, Chemguard is developing new C6-based formulations with advanced chemistries to replace C8-based products,” said Chemguard President Roger Bower. “In the meantime, our efficient and effective C8-based products are available, safe, and compliant with EPA guidelines.”
